About Us

We purchased Overdale 14 years ago. We use the cottage (with our dog Nala) several times a year. Walking and bird watching are joint interests. Steve also cycles and I love catching up with local friends. Letting Overdale helps to pay for its upkeep and for improvements. It is in an idyllic position – less than a mile from Hawes yet surround by fields – so we are also keen for others to enjoy it and this also helps to boost the local economy.

Attractions

Attractions in Hawes include the Dales National Park Visitor Centre and Museum in Hawes which has masses of current and historical information about the area. At The Wensleydale Creamery, you can see the famous cheese being made, sample and buy any variation you could imagine and eat at the excellent restaurant and café. The Pennine Way is close by but the discerning walker will probably prefer the many other quieter paths which abound the area.
